Product Details

Tile backer boards are used under wall or floor tiles to act as a waterproof surface and to provide efficient insulation. When used as part of a flooring solution, they also help to dampen sounds.

These items can be used in conjunction with our underfloor heating systems by being installed onto concrete, screed and timbers subfloors. This way, you will be maximising the efficiency of your heating system and reducing heat loss.

Available in various thicknesses (6mm, 10mm, 12.5mm, 20mm, 30mm and 50mm), these boards are sized at 1,200mm x 600mm and cover an area of 0.72m². More durable and rigid than plywood, tile backers are waterproof, making them ideal for installation in any wet areas.

The boards are lightweight and easy to install. When fitted over concrete floors, they can be secured in position using flexible tile adhesive, while screws work for wooden fixtures.
