Originally designed to combat the high temperatures that can be experienced during space travel, thermal primer is an acrylic primer that utilises unique energy-saving technologies to help homeowners make great cost savings.
The formulation that we stock here at Underfloor Heating Direct is made up of a distinctive insulating composition that contains NanoCNB structures. As such, it is durable and allows for heat to be retained where it is needed within your home.
When flooring has been coated with our thermal primer, it stops the surfaces from being able to absorb the heat from the room, meaning that it will require less energy to keep the space warm. The acrylic primer begins to work as it dries, creating an automatic thermal barrier that reflects heat back into the space. This way, less energy is used to heat the home, leading to great savings on energy bills.
As our thermal primer has been specifically designed for use alongside underfloor heating systems, this high-tech formulation has been shown to reduce heat loss by 20%. It is also the only advanced thermal coating primer for use with underfloor heating on the market.
Thermal primer is suitable for most surfaces and comes with a lifetime guarantee. As well as being proven to reduce energy loss within the home, it can also decrease running costs and the time it takes to warm up a room.
The thermal primer insulates and seals the surface all in one, although multiple coats can be administered for greater efficiency. As well as being easy to apply, thermal primer can also help to reduce a homeowner’s carbon footprint, so there really isn’t any need to delay.Underfloor Heating Direct
Our thermal primer has been designed for use on almost any flooring type. This versatility means that the acrylic formulation is ideal to enhance the efficiency of underfloor heating systems, while it can also be used by homeowners and tradespeople as a standalone product. This is because it still provides a number of great energy benefits, such as lowering home energy loss, even when not being used in conjunction with an underfloor system.
After receiving the thermal primer, which comes in 1ltr containers, a roller or paintbrush can be used to apply thermal primer to flooring, so installation is quick and simple. Around 14sqm can be covered with the formulation from just one container, meaning that it is a highly affordable way to make great energy savings around the home.
As the solution is able to insulate and seal flooring as it goes, and starts to work as it dries, homeowners will soon be feeling the benefits of our thermal primer, both around the home and in their pockets.
Our thermal primer is an Acrylic Primer which is made up of a unique insulating composition containing NanoCNB structures. Our formulation utilises unique energy-saving technology originally developed to combat the high temperatures in space, together with the latest insulating technology.
When floors are coated with thermal primer, the surfaces lose the ability to absorb heat from the room. So the heat is reflected BACK up into your room as a result of the thermal barrier that has been formed.
Once thermal primer is applied to the floor and is dry, the thermally efficient barrier is automatically created.
