The Damp Proof Membrane - 4mx25m 300Mu BBBA is a high-quality, BBA approved solution designed to protect buildings from moisture in the ground. This low-density, polyethylene membrane is 1200 gauge and provides reliable damp-proofing for solid concrete ground floors that are not subject to hydrostatic pressure.
With its large size of 4m x 25m, this membrane offers excellent coverage and is suitable for various applications. It can be installed in different ways to meet your specific needs:
Oversite Membrane: This membrane can be used as an oversite membrane, placed between a blinded hardcore bed and the base concrete slab. This configuration helps to create a barrier against moisture and protects the concrete slab from potential damage.
Sandwich Membrane: Alternatively, the membrane can be used as a sandwich membrane within a base concrete slab. By incorporating the membrane in the concrete slab, it adds an additional layer of protection against moisture ingress.
Base-Slab to Screed: The damp proof membrane can also be installed between the base concrete slab and the screed. This configuration helps to prevent moisture from reaching the screed layer, ensuring the integrity of the flooring system.
